The process of losing the mast, and getting to the point of being ready to sail home has been a long one with many lessons learnt. Hi Peter, We are the owners of the vessel OUTSIDER, Genisis 320 Tournament, which had a Major Electrical Fire on board while travelling to Great Barrier Island on the 27th December 2012 just south of Anchorite rock. We put out a Distress Call on vhf CH 16. The Response from Auckland Coast Guard vessels and other units around Auckland was rapid and a great feeling for my wife and I to see them coming to our assistance. What a professional service. A very BIG thanks to the teams on TRILLION RESCUE ALFA, ASB RESCUE, HIBISCUS RESCUE and DEODAR. Plus all other units responding.
To the Team at BAILEYS, you sure know how to treat clients in trouble. I called your office in the morning (after recovering from smoke inhalation) and Wendy was extremely helpful, she put me in touch with Steve Moyle Assessors who came out within 2 hours to check over damage and got the wheels of repair underway in a very professional manner. There was never a question or query. "LETS GET THE BOAT BACK IN THE WATER ASAP" was everyone's attitude.

Dear Neil, I wanted to write and thank you for your help and service following our recent claim on our home and contents insurance provided by Vero Insurance through your firm.
Any time one has to make a claim it is usually coupled with a fair amount of stress and anxiety following the loss of, or to ones property. This was certainly was the case with us recently! During a time that is often difficult we found not only your staff, but that of Vero fantastic. Wendy constantly checked up on the progress of the claim and made sure it was progressing smoothly, this was reassuring on its own. Add this to the ease of dealing with Murray Whitmore, our 'face' of Vero Insurance.
With much bad press surrounding insurance today it was a pleasure to deal with Murray, who at all times was professional and straight talking. He let us know in plain terms where our claim lay, his decision making and his reasons for them. This left us knowing what was to happen, followed up when necessary and was thorough. Thanks Peter, to you and your team. From the moment I called you when I returned to the office after my vehicle was hit from behind, I have had to do nothing but provide details of the accident. And even that was made hassle free.
Susan kept me informed of progress with the other insurance company, and called me to advise that they had reimbursed the excess that was to have been payable on my insurance.
I thought too, that you would be interested to know that the panel-beater you recommended has provided very good service. From the most helpful obliging truck driver who collected the car (as the boot had been jammed shut, I needed assistance to recover material that I needed) to the regular updates on progress, and the provision of a good courtesy vehicle, I have been well looked after.
The inconvenience of having such an accident has been minimised to the point of virtually no inconvenience.
