Before completing the Boat Claim Form, please check the following guide, to help your claim proceed smoothly.
- Please notify us immediately of any loss or damage occurring. The paper work can follow but it is imperative that we notify your Insurer as soon as possible;
- Please do anything you can to help minimise any further damage occurring;
- A quote for any repair work will be needed before repairs can proceed. If you would like any recommendation on a repairer to use, please feel free to ask us as we have several reliable contacts who are first class;
- An Assessor may also be needed depending on the extent of the damage and the likely costs to be incurred. We will advise on that once full details are known of the circumstances etc.
We can often have a claim lodged over the phone for you with your Insurer, to cut down on paper work and speed up the process – so please call us in the first instance.
As your brokers, we will ensure all information is appropriate before submitting the claim to your Insurers, and we will follow your claim through to completion, to ensure that it is settled properly and fairly, and excesses are waived/refunded where appropriate.
